JOB TITLE: SuccessFactors ECP Functional Consultant (Time Management)
JOB LOCATION: Remote with occasional travel to Brooklyn, New York
DURATION: Initial 1-Year Contract, potential for extension(s)
SCHEDULE: M-F first shift, 40 hours/week
WAGE RANGE: 60.00-70.00/hr
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Functional Consultant with expertise in Workforce Software (Time Management) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) to lead advanced configuration, implementation, and support for time management and payroll solutions. This role will closely collaborate with the Product Owner, supporting their strategic oversight of Workforce Software while focusing on advanced configuration, system optimization, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and functional expertise and experience in workforce management and payroll systems.
Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Implementation:
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to analyze business requirements and define solutions for Workforce Software and Employee Central Payroll.
• Take ownership of advanced configurations in Workforce Software, such as complex pay rules, workflows, and customizations.
• Design, configure, and test ECP components, including schemas, rules, wage types, and infotypes, ensuring global and local compliance.
• Ensure seamless integration between Workforce Software, ECP, and other HR systems (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors).
Advanced Technical Expertise:
• Lead advanced Workforce Software configurations, including intricate time-tracking scenarios, accrual policies, and compliance rules.
• Perform detailed ECP configuration, such as payroll rules, data mapping, and validations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues in Workforce Software and ECP, escalating when necessary.
• Provide technical recommendations to optimize the performance and scalability of both systems.
Collaboration with the Product Owner:
• Support the Product Owner, who will handle light-touch configurations in Workforce Software, by managing more complex technical and functional setups.
• Partner with the Product Owner to translate business needs into actionable system configurations and enhancements.
• Provide expertise and mentorship to the Product Owner, helping them better understand system capabilities and configurations.
Project Coordination:
• Collaborate with the Product Owner, HR, Payroll, and IT teams to align priorities and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Lead configuration documentation, testing efforts, and UAT for both Workforce Software and ECP.
• Ensure smooth post-go-live transitions by creating detailed documentation and supporting knowledge transfer.
Compliance & Governance:
• Ensure that all configurations comply with global labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Partner with the Product Owner to address audit requirements, compliance reviews, and reporting needs related to time management and payroll systems.
Support & Optimization:
• Act as the primary resource for advanced configuration and issue resolution for Workforce Software and ECP.
• Continuously analyze system performance and recommend improvements to meet evolving business requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
• Strong hands-on experience with Workforce Software (Time and Attendance, Scheduling, or Leave Management).
• Proficiency in Employee Central Payroll (ECP) configuration, including schemas, rules, wage types, and infotypes.
• Experience integrating Workforce Software and ECP with HR systems such as SAP or SuccessFactors.
• Knowledge of APIs, middleware, and other integration tools.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for both time management and payroll systems.
Functional Expertise:
• Deep understanding of time management policies, pay rules, and payroll processes.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors, or Workday).
• Ability to translate business requirements into actionable system configurations and enhancements.
Soft Skills:
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively with the Product Owner and cross-functional teams.
• Proactive problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with Workforce Software and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) implementation and configuration.
• Certification in Workforce Software or Employee Central Payroll (if applicable) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with payroll processing and compliance in multiple regions.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Product Operating Model environments.
• Proficiency in analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Work Environment:
• Remote work. Occasional travel will be required for project workshops or stakeholder meetings around 30%-50% time depending on Program Phases.
