Minimum requirements

For Substitute Teachers: Bachelor’s Degree (Any, does not have to be in Education)

Emergency Teaching permit will be provided at no cost

For Teacher Aides/ secretary-High school diploma

· Kelly Education follows all PA state education clearances dated within 1 year

No experience needed

Pay:

Substitute Teacher pay rate= $135-$160 per day

Teacher Aides- $15.50 per hour

Secretary - $15.39 per hour

Responsibilities:

· Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies

· Leading instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans

· Instructing students on classroom topics/courses

· Building positive relationships

· Assigning reasonable tasks and homework

· Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation

· Build a classroom environment that’s conducive to learning and appropriate to the ability and interests of students

· Adapt to the various learning styles of students

· For long-term assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments
