Job Overview::Due to company growth, we are actively seeking a Substation Project Engineer to join our Team in Pomona, California.
Responsibilities & Duties::· Perform site audits for energized substations, control buildings and transmission lines.
· Take photos on-site of equipment that has a nameplate and capture manufacturer specifications for other equipment to ensure nothing is missing and avoid additional on-site trips.
· Photos shall be taken as a reference and cataloged by facility, substation, outdoor/control house, and component(s) for future reference.
· All identified drawing and database discrepancies shall be documented for update following the completion of the review.
· Verifications of equipment will be made at a minimum for the following:
- Substation
- Control building
- Transmission Line
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology
· Seven (7) years of industry experience performing engineering duties in Substation or related technical work
· Possess experience in Substation Standards
· Strong background and knowledge of all disciplines
· Five (5+) years of relevant experience in substation, or transmission.
· Knowledge of electrical equipment and components
· NERC and PRC compliance standards
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to travel 80-100% of the time.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Must be able to report to the office in Pomona, California on a Hybrid Schedule
The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licenses and certifications; and other related skillsets. The disclosed range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
