GSW Substation Technicians/Electricians will travel to substation projects throughout project areas.

Essential Functions
Construction and/or maintenance of all structures and substation equipment as directed
Trouble shoot and correct malfunctions of all substation equipment during installation and/or maintenance
Safe operation of all company and related construction equipment used for substation, transmission and distribution line construction
Follow company and industry safety protocols
Any other tasks as directed
Regular and predictable attendance
Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable
Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completed Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship
- Prior experience with substation construction is required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed; overnight and extended travel is required
- Ability to be out in the elements for long periods of time
- Ability to follow industry standard and company safety protocols
- Ability to read blue prints
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Commensurate with experience, paid weekly.
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
