Position Summary
With minimal supervision obtains the necessary information to create subrogation recovery opportunities, coordinate the development of evidence to support subrogation recoveries, and pursue these recoveries in accordance with legal statutes, and policy provisions.

- Successful candidate will be an auto subrogation specialist, and will focus on auto and medical claims.
- Individual will work from home within the ERIE footprint
Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews claim files to identify, evaluate, analyze and interpret subrogation potential; coordinates steps to secure evidence and ensure pursuit, development and recovery of claims payments on behalf of the insured, Agent and ERIE.
Evaluates completeness and accuracy of documentary evidence; records and processes all recovery payments; prepares and issues payments for subrogation expenses.
Handles restitutions and requests information from courts and district attorney's to proceed in the subrogation recovery process.
Trains, mentors and provides assistance and support to claims adjusters on the handling of subrogation claims.
Refers applicable files for subrogation to outside counsel. If additional investigation is necessary, works with outside counsel to coordinate investigation efforts. Assists in managing litigation expenses and ensures that counsel adheres to ERIE's guidelines.

Qualifications
High school diploma, or equivalent, and two years' insurance experience required.
Previous experience working with liability, property or subrogation claims preferred.
Obtain and maintain licenses, as required by the state.
Travel for training and business required.
Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional (CSRP) designation other insurance industry course work or designations preferred.
