Job Overview:The role of the Subject Matter Expert I is to provide specific Navy Information Warfare Center (NIWC) technical support for various projects within the Chesapeake Ops environment. Includes: communication systems (radios), networking systems (routers/switches), cyber operations (red team/forensics/network defense), intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (sensors/decision support applications), business systems (benefits/personnel) and information security.

Responsibilities:Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Provides support for communication systems (radios), networking systems (routers/switches), cyber operations (red team/forensics/network defense), intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (sensors/decision support applications), business systems (benefits/personnel) and information security.
- Provides day-to-day In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) support to NIWC and other activities on multiple projects
- Provides support to Fleet activities
- Works with customer in primarily a solitary environment
- Performs related work as assigned in an unsupervised, reactive/mission critical environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Mandatory:
- U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within 12 months of hire date.
- Eight (8) years’ technical experience in military, contracting, or commercial areas.
- Must have electronic systems troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to provide driving record upon request.
