JOB DESCRIPTION:
Sub-System Launch Lead (SSLL):
- Project Manager, responsible for sub-system evaluation and convergence for product and process achieving geometrical design quality objectives for the body, interior and mechatronics from Tool Kick Off (TKO) to Start of Production (SOP).
- Responsible for issue resolution tracking and escalation to the Product Design Office and Engineering management if the goals are not achieved.
- SSLL has the ability to reject advanced design or process if it does not comply with Stellantis standards or is achieving the KPI performance per development milestone requirements.
- Manages advanced projects Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensures timing compliance per milestone.
- Validates robustness of design/process per standards, best practices, know-how and lessons learned.
- Ensures convergence and validation cadence for Build Objectives (gap/flush) and monitors planning and issue resolution for KPIs.
?- Bachelor of Science in Engineering education.
- 8+ years of Automotive experience in Product Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality.
- Knowledge of issue resolution, escalation processes and follow up.
- Understanding of vehicle design, assembly, and process control.
- Understanding of design principles and KPI metrics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communications skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to develop an action plan and drive the procedures to resolution on timely basis.
- Proficient in Microsoft suit and Google, TeamCenter CAD is a plus.
- Self-motivated. Able to meet deadlines with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of English language
- Primary job location is located in Metro Detroit Area at assigned Assembly Plant. Requires ability to travel to Canada and Mexico for occasional support to other Manufacturing facilities.
Preferred Skills
- DFFS Black Belt or Shainin Red X certification
