About the Job
Scissors and Scotch provides the best men’s grooming experience throughout the nation, and we're looking for someone to lead our team in Northern Virginia! We're the barbershop-with-a-twist, combining spa-like offerings with a relaxing drink in our lounge.
We're looking for a kickass manager to keep things rolling in Reston. Here’s what we need from you:
- Be a licensed Barber/Cosmetologist. You will be cutting behind the chair several days a week while also having designated days for management responsibilities. We need you setting the tone for the client experience and the energy it takes to be a successful stylist/barber.
- Hire and supervise our amazing team of creative, artistic professionals.
- Establish a culture that is centered around our core values (check them out on our career site!)
- Serve as a resource for the team on processes and policies and ensure all systems are followed.
- Consistently review barbershop and lounge operations to identify concerns and areas for improvement.
- Manage expenses and drive sales.
- The ability to work full-time, variable hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. (There will be times when the work demands more than 40 hours per week.)
- And of course, the big one-other duties as discovered. There will be plenty of creative problem solving every day.
