About the Job
You are one who is a core member of the Trellis Strategies team and provides leadership over the relationship-managing and consulting to colleges and universities including the Trellis portfolio of 72 historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and minority-serving institutions (MSIs) in the Project Success program. You will work with project management and project staff to ensure program goals are met including: developing relationships within institutions that create the greatest potential for program success, implementing students services and consulting and research projects at all institutions, and developing new consulting approaches to help institutions build capacity to increase student success and outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The position incumbent is expected to perform the following essential duties and responsibilities of the position with reasonable accommodation.
- Manage a team of Institutional Support Consultants, Student Success Consultants, and the Enrollment Management Analyst to advance program goals.
- In coordination with the Director of Higher Education Services, develop performance goals and tracking mechanisms for the team.
- Develop relationships with college leaders in order to identify change opportunities to complex enrollment, student affairs, and academic affairs related issues.
- Diagnose campus challenges, source information, and provide work products to campus stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships and collaborations with faculty, campus and community partners and alumni.
- Consolidate information from original research, literature review, best practices at the national level, and expertise and experience in order to provide informed consulting.
- Author substantive and readable reports addressing recommended operational changes, curriculum enhancements, student services and support programs.
- In collaboration with the Director of Higher Education Services, drive business development initiatives to identify new markets and cultivate partnerships that expand new business opportunities.
- Deliver campus-based presentations on findings and recommendations, with a special focus on the president and cabinet-level officials.
- Cultivate client relationships and collaboration through project management, organizational skills, building trust, and understanding client short- and long-term goals.
- Proactively develop short- and long-range goals related to performance standards.
- Communicate with accurate information and outline changes.
- Advise institutions on solutions that improve student success including enrollment management, student achievements and support programs, and career pathways.
- Track time accurately by client and update Salesforce and other reporting tools.
- Participate in team meetings with other project staff to coordinate work.
- Attend meetings both in person and virtually, as required by company or client needs.

- Understand micro-credentials, certifications, badges, apprenticeships, internships/externships, and other artifacts and experiences that help a student build workforce skills and credibility during the college enrollment period.
- Understanding of research methods in order to help depict research needs for campuses to Trellis Strategies.
- Strong understanding of enrollment management and administrative practices, Title IV requirements, accreditation, and higher education culture, norms, and processes.
- Ability to use Salesforce and Microsoft Office and other administrative systems for human resource and budget management purposes.
- Strong problem solving and organization skills.
- Strong understanding of student services and student risks.
- Strong understanding of HCBUs and MSIs.
- Ability to travel, approximately 25%.
Education
Required: Master's Degree
Preferred: Doctoral Degree
Experience
Required:
- Five (5) or more years' experience at the management level academic leadership or enrollment management.
Preferred:
- Experience working in or directly with institutions with a federal MSI designation, especially HBCUs, HSIs, or PBIs.
- Consulting or client management experience.
- Experience with college CRM and student database systems such as Slate, Ellucian, Salesforce, and similar systems
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Position is primarily sedentary. Must be able to sit in a stationary position for long periods of time; Occasionally must move about inside the office.
- Must be able to provide presentations and services to clients in a variety of business and work settings.
- Repetitive motion. Regularly operates a computer, phone, and general office equipment. Regularly uses hands/fingers to handle, feel, or grasp; reaches or extends arm(s) in any direction.
- Hearing and speaking. Regularly talks with other employees and on the phone, virtually, or in person with clients. Regularly uses hearing to listen and respond to employees and clients.
- Visual acuity. Regularly must have close visual acuity to view and enter information into computer and software systems, analyze data, develop presentations and reports, and other materials.
- Mental focus. Requires worker to maintain focus and exchange detailed and accurate information through oral and written communication.
Work Environment:
- Work may be conducted remotely or in an open office with a surrounding small cubicle environment.
- Office work environment is climate controlled with no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
- Travel required up to 25-50% of the time.
