Objectives of this Role:
- Learn about project leadership to meet scope, schedule, and budget constraints for drug development programs
- Learn and assist in proposal preparation to include identifying project opportunities, planning the approach to win, building the team, developing the technical proposal, developing the cost proposal.
- Assist other project managers in project execution. Interact with technical staff to convey work assignments, progress updates, problem identification, problem resolution, workplace safety, and compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Observe how Division staff interact with clients to convey progress, execute scope of work, and identify/manage risks.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Communicate with peers, staff, supervisor, and clients as projects progress.
- Assist in briefing and communicating with upper management on current projects and proposal strategies and dispositions on a timely basis.
- Observe, learn and contribute to the internal meeting environment by making recommendations, offering ideas, supporting team members, and taking initiative to work on tasks.
- Review with staff for start-up to completion, establishing protocols and procedures, obtaining necessary subcontractors/vendors, providing documentation, providing work instructions to technical staff, reviewing results data, and preparing reports.
- As needed, support laboratory and pilot plant with hands-on support to meet project goals and timelines.
Requirements:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Bioengineering or Biomedical Engineering.
- 0 years: Education or training in project management preferred.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
