STUDENT ASSISTANT-A&G - Food Services Student Intern at Southwest Research Institute

Who We Are:

Summer internship in Slick Cafe for entry level, dining services support staff. All functions will be performed under supervision of the Head Chef or the Cafe Supervisor.

Objectives of this Role:

• Observe and learn general operations of Cafe.
• Support existing staff with entry level functions.
• Provide friendly customer service to all staff.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

• Prepares and serves food and drinks for daily breakfast and lunch.
• Cleans and stocks serving and dining areas.
• Operates dishwashing machines and maintains cleanliness of food prep and service stations.
• Sets up, serves, and cleans up at special events and functions.
• Delivers food and related supplies and/or caters events on SwRI campus.

Requirements:

• Must be pursuing an Associates degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
• 0-2 years: Dining services experience
• 0-2 years: Education in culinary arts or related field
• A valid/clear driver's license is required.
