Structures MRB Engineer 4 - Johnson Service Group

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 13 yrs specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job. Position Purpose: Works on engineering projects containing critical problems, the solution of which requires major technological advances and extensive related development

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 

Note: Position is located at GAC facility Savannah, Georgia
- U.S Citizenship or permanent residence (green card) required.
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering required.
- Minimum 10 years dedicated Structures MRB Engineering experience at a recognized Aerospace Manufacturer. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD.
- 1st Shift position. Typically 4X10 work schedule. Periodic overtime possible.

- Experience should include creation and justification of engineering dispositions for non-conformances of composite and metallic, pressurized and non-pressurized aircraft structures.
- Experience should include all components of the aircraft (Wing, Fuselage, Empennage). Wing / Empennage experience is a plus.
- Experience should be in a Production and/or schedule-driven environment.
- Capability to analyze and rapidly design repairs based on equivalent strength/stiffness of surrounding structure.
- Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be computer literate (such as, but not limited to: Catia V5, Solumina, SmarTeam, Corridor, Word, Excel).
