Aerotek Aviation is looking to hire structures mechanics with an active secret clearance to work on a defense contract in Wichita, KS!
Job Description:
- Team with others to fabricate, assemble, form, finish and inspect a wide variety of structural and non-structural fiberglass, acrylic, and other composite and metal parts, tools, and assemblies.
- Utilize lay-up tools, which include both optical and hard tools, in the fabrication of composite and metal assemblies.
- Use and control of solvents and cleaning solutions in the preparation of details, tools, and assemblies for bonding and paint per established procedures.
- Place vacuum and pressure bags over and inside wrapped parts and tools, and test for leaks.
- Cut fabrics and composite materials to size using knives, shears, automated material cutters, etc.
- Hand and machine finish parts to required tolerances and fit into completed assemblies.
- Drill, saw, file, sand, pot, patch, build up, trim, fit, and rivet parts to meet production requirements.
- Load, unload, and operate ovens in the curing of parts and assemblies.
- Apply parting agents to molds and bond assembly tools.
- Mix and apply bonding adhesives to details and assemblies using films, spray, pour coating, roller coating, and robotics equipment.
Pay: $45/hr ($24.25 taxed / $20.75 untaxed per diem split - must live 50 miles outside of jobsite to qualify)
Shift: Must be able to work 1st or 2nd Shift

This is a fully on-site position in Wichita, KS.
