Fluor is seeking candidates for opportunities within our Program Delivery Support (PDS) team, working alongside the California High-Speed Rail Authority, to provide program delivery and program management services for one of the largest planned infrastructure projects in the U.S.
The system will connect the 500-mile stretch between the Los Angeles region with the San Francisco Bay Area, with up to 24 stations. The first phase of the program is currently under construction in California’s Central Valley.
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Engineering, the Structures Engineer (construction support) supports the technical coordination between the Engineering Services Branch, the Construction Package (CP), Project and Construction Management (PCM) teams as well as Infrastructure Delivery (ID) branch and assist with the development, recommendation, and implementation of polices in relation to civil engineering standards and technical requirements in coordination with other Branches and relevant stakeholders. The main tasks for this position are to support the technical review of the Quality Milestone Data Pack (QMDP) for project handover, construction Objective evidence, and As-built documentation. Other tasks include working with Asset Management to provide technical oversight of Assets stored in Maximo to provide a level of technical verification that Asset Management is accurately capturing all elements being constructed and included in as-builts. This person may be asked to attend, schedule, and run meetings on an as needed basis with various groups including PCMs, ICE/ISE, and Design Build (DB) Contractors to support the active construction in the Central Valley. The employee works in the Engineering Services Branch.
• Technical review of the Technical Contract Requirements (TCRs), Quality Milestone Data Pack (QMDP) for project handover, construction Objective Evidence, and As-built documentation.
• Coordination with Asset Management to provide technical oversight of Assets stored in Maximo to provide a level of technical verification that Asset Management is capturing all elements being constructed and included in as-builts.
• Attend, schedule, and lead meetings on an as needed basis with various PCMs, ICE/ISE, and Design Build (DB) Contractor to support the active construction in the Central Valley.
