We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Structured Transactions Associate Attorney to join our thriving Legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice on a wide range of structured finance and securitization matters. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and challenging transactions, and to be a part of a team that is at the forefront of the legal industry. The role offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of structured finance and securitization matters, including the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex transactions.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including transaction agreements, disclosure documents, and legal opinions.
3. Conduct legal research and analysis to support transaction execution and to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including business teams, external counsel, and regulators, to facilitate transaction execution and to address legal and regulatory issues.
5. Contribute to the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures to support the structured finance and securitization business.
6. Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments in the structured finance and securitization industry and advise the business accordingly.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney in the structured finance or securitization field, preferably with a law firm or in-house legal department.
3. Admission to the New York or Illinois state bar
4. Strong knowledge of structured finance and securitization law and transactions.
5. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and business-friendly legal advice.
7. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, with the flexibility to work remotely and in the office as needed.
8. High level of professionalism and ethical standards, with a commitment to client service and excellence in the practice of law.
