Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator/Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will oversee and coordinate structural steel projects, ensuring adherence to building codes, quality standards, and client specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, alongside proficiency in construction accounting and project management software.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interpret building codes and standards related to structural steel construction.
- Review and understand contract documents; participate in negotiations and dispute resolution.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Utilize construction accounting principles to manage project finances and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Read and interpret blueprints, conduct material take-offs, manage purchasing, and coordinate logistics.
- Create, manage, and track project budgets, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, submittals, and correspondence.
- Maintain high standards of productivity, quality, customer service, and safety throughout project execution.
- Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with Tekla is advantageous.
- Uphold a professional demeanor, dependability, and autonomy in completing assigned tasks.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of structural steel building codes and standards.
- Ability to participate constructively in negotiations and dispute resolution processes.
- Experience in construction accounting and project management practices.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and material take-off processes.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and project teams.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with Tekla preferred.
- Dependable work ethic with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
