Florida Atlantic Ironworks (FAI) is searching for a strategic leader with a knack for operational excellence and a passion for the steel erection industry. Our dynamic and expanding company is seeking an experienced Structural SteelGeneral Manager to drive growth, optimize production, and ensure our team reaches new heights. As a vital member of our leadership team and reporting directly to our company president, you'll work closely with department heads to streamline operations, enhance quality, prioritize safety, and solidify our reputation as a top-tier steel erector.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement growth strategies that align with our business goals, ensuring we stay competitive and innovative.
- Operational Management: Oversee all facets of the steel erection, miscellaneous metals, and metal decking process, ensuring efficient, high-quality output that meets our standards. This is a hands-on role with the expectation to spend time in the field performing regular site visits. This position also spearheads the annual AISC audit process.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, control costs, and work with finance to ensure profitability and sustainability.
- Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and develop a skilled team, creating an environment that fosters accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. This role oversees Project Managers, Supervisors, Foremen, Safety professionals, Iron Workers, and other general FAI team members.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring our services exceed expectations.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, promoting a safe work environment for all employees.
Qualifications:
- Industry Expertise: 5+ years of leadership experience and 10+ years of experience in the steel erection industry. Experience with AISC, AWS, SJI, SDI, crane charts, crane lift plans, Tekla structures, and 3-D modeling.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in managing teams, optimizing operations, and driving growth in a steel erection and construction environment.
- Strong Financial Acumen: Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a client-focused approach. The ability to speak fluent Spanish is highly advantageous.
- Problem Solving & Decision Making: Ability to make data-driven decisions, troubleshoot operational issues, and navigate challenges effectively.
