Structural Project Engineer
Location: Lexington, KY (Hybrid)
Position Overview:
The Structural Project Engineer leads medium to large-scale projects, overseeing all aspects from design to construction. This includes budgeting, scheduling, planning, technical design, and ensuring successful project delivery. The role involves direct client interaction, coordination with teams, and problem-solving to meet client goals and maintain project quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
- Manage all project phases, ensuring schedules, budgets, and client expectations are met.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and team members to resolve project challenges.
Technical Expertise:
- Prepare and review structural calculations and construction documents.
- Oversee deliverables for design phases (SD, DD, CD).
Team Management:
- Assign and supervise tasks for support staff and consultants.
- Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback.
Documentation & Standards:
- Ensure project documents adhere to company and client standards.
- Write and review project specifications.
Client Relations & Business Development:
- Maintain professional client relationships and assist in proposal preparation.
- Represent the company positively in all interactions.
Skills:
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making.
- Proficiency in project management, structural design, and industry software.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (accredited program).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in architectural document production and project management.
- License: Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification required.
