The Position:
We're looking for a Structural Engineer with a construction engineering emphasis who will have the following responsibilities:
- Assess, model, and analyze complex steel, concrete, and timber structures on heavy civil projects in all phases of access, demolition, and construction
- Design falsework and formwork to relevant codes and standards
- Engineer temporary and permanent earth retention systems
- Develop critical lift and jacking plans required for safe operations
- Prepare relevant, clear drawings for use by fabricators and field operations within fast-paced construction timeframes
- In conjunction with Construction and Project Managers, solve engineering related project issues
- Review and update engineering standards for field operations and design
- Assist in responding to questions from contractors, public agencies and officials, or other stakeholders regarding policies, procedures, and practices
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned

The Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field emphasis in Structural Engineering is preferred
- 6 - 15 years of work experience in Structural Engineering
- PE license preferred
- Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
- Knowledge of heavy civil and/or construction engineering theories and principles
- Prior experience working with computers and related software applications for analysis and design
- AutoCad knowledge is required, Civil 3D, Midas Civil, Risa 3D, Civiltech Shoring, and Civiltech AllPile are preferred
