Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural and forensic investigations on commercial and residential structures.
- Conduct site visits, including structural and forensic inspections, to assess conditions and identify issues.
- Compile, write, and edit technical reports, feasibility studies, letters, memos, and project specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers, insurance professionals, and property managers.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet project goals.
Required Qualifications
- A passion for structural design, a strong technical background, and the ability to work with a highly respected structural engineering group.
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering.
- A Professional Engineering (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the structural design of bridges and other structures.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Goal-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities, creativity, and attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial building materials, systems, and assemblies.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
