Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Grand Rapids. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the analysis, design, and detailing of structural systems. This role involves working on diverse projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring all structural engineering deliverables meet industry standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Analysis: Develop and analyze structural designs for buildings, bridges, and other structures, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Project Management: Oversee structural engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to assess conditions, monitor construction progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural systems into overall project designs.
• Compliance: Ensure all structural designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve structural engineering issues and challenges, providing innovative and practical solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest developments in structural engineering technologies, materials, and best practices to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience with sustainable and resilient design practices is a plus.
