We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and assessing various structures, ensuring they are safe, sustainable, and compliant with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of structural and civil engineering principles, as well as proficiency in design software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural systems for residential, commercial, and municipal projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Conduct site assessments and inspections to evaluate existing structures and foundations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project objectives are met.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations during the design and construction process.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and interns.
- Prepare reports and documentation for project stakeholders, including clients and regulatory agencies.
- 4+ years of structural engineering experience, with a focus on residential and commercial projects.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification required (P.E. license preferred).
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong knowledge of materials including wood, steel, and concrete.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
