Stratford Engineering has an immediate opportunity for a full-time Structural Engineer at our downtown New York City office. We are seeking hard-working, creative, and talented individuals who are interested in joining our fast-growing and collaborative office.

With over 20 years of experience in the field, our spectrum of work encompasses a broad variety of building types and scales, including commercial, office, single- and multi-family residential complexes, hospitals, and other medical facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop structural construction documents for commercial, institutional and residential buildings with various structural designs consisting of steel, light gauge steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Perform structural analysis using engineering software, such as SAP2000, RAM Structural System, SAFE, etc.
• Use 2-D Autodesk software, such as AutoCAD and Revit, to draft and detail structural framing plans, details, elevations, and sections.
• Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFI's, and review architectural and MEP drawings.
• Perform site inspections & surveys on-site.
• Communicate with clients and other consultants regarding projects.
The Requirements For The Position Are As Follows:
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in structural engineering. (Master's preferred)
• Applicants must be prepared to work full-time in-person at our Downtown Manhattan, NY office.
• 2-7 years experience in the design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.
• Working knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to manage projects to meet schedules and deliverables.
• Strong technical and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficient with engineering software: RAM, Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, ETABS, PCA Slab, etc.
• Proficient in verbal and written English. Must be available and eligible to work in the United States, Visa sponsorship is not available.
