Position Summary:
As a Structural Engineer with these folks, you will play a pivotal role on their our project teams, providing crucial expertise in the design, analysis, and execution of structural systems. This position demands a combination of creative problem-solving skills, rigorous engineering knowledge, and a passion for sustainable design. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and innovation.
Job Duties:
- Design and analyze structural systems for a variety of projects, including commercial, Federal, and industrial buildings, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and construction managers to integrate structural designs seamlessly with architectural and site plans.
- Perform structural calculations, prepare reports, and create detailed drawings using state-of-the-art software.
- Oversee and mentor junior engineers and drafters, providing guidance and feedback on their work.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring that structural elements are being installed according to the specifications and design.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in local, state, and federal regulations related to structural engineering.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities to enhance expertise in structural engineering and related areas.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Active State Structural Engineering license (S.E. licensure) required. (Civil E.I.T.s and P.E.s with Structural Engineering experience are welcome will be considered if there is current preparation and intent to take the S.E. exam. Company will subsidize NCEES fees).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of successful project completion.
- Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, Revit Structure).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and experience with LEED-certified projects is highly desirable.
