As our Structural Engineer II, you will be a design engineer for new and ongoing substation projects. You will support multiple projects simultaneously given direction from a lead engineer or project manager. You will be working in small project teams to provide exceptional customer service and quality in deliverables to our clients.
You will contribute to the analysis and design of all structural elements within the substation, including steel structures, foundations, and anchorage. They also contribute to the design of transmission line steel lattice towers, steel poles, and foundations.
This role will be based in our San Diego, CA or Phoenixville, PA office. This role will begin as in-office but can progress to remote/hybrid as the employee becomes more integrated with the team.

Responsibilities
Other responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with teams of engineers, designers, and drafters to complete project deliverables.
- Coordinate design work with other engineering disciplines.
- Meet client expectations for budget and schedule while delivering a quality product.
- Increase proficiency in relevant design, modeling, and analysis software applications such as RISA, FAD Tools, LPile, Mathcad, PLS software suite, and AutoCAD.
- Increase knowledge of local codes and industry standards.
- Assist with budget estimates and write-ups for proposals.
Qualifications
Which qualifications are we seeking?
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. (Preferred)
- EIT Certificate (Preferred).
- 3+ years of structural design engineering experience within substation, transmission, bridges, or buildings design experience.
- Experience with at least one of the following: RISA, MathCAD, and/or PLS software suite.
