Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal Structural Engineer candidate will have extensive experience in the analysis, design, and detailing of structural systems. The role involves working on diverse commercial projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring all structural engineering deliverables meet industry standards and client expectations.
*Hybrid work schedule: In office 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Analysis: Develop and analyze structural designs for commercial buildings and other structures, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to assess conditions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborations: Work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural systems into overall project designs.
- Compliance: Ensure all structural designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve structural engineering issues and challenges, providing innovative and practical solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest developments in structural engineering techniques, materials, and best practices to enhance project design and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-12 years of experience in structural engineering design.
- Engineer in training (EIT) preferred.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, (STAAD, ETABS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with sustainable and resilient design practices is a plus.
