In this senior role, you will:

• Spearhead technical design for assigned projects, ensuring the highest quality standards within budget and schedule constraints.
• Provide technical supervision and guidance to junior engineers.
• Contribute to the standardization process within the structural engineering group, promoting efficiency and consistency.
• Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Communicate effectively with clients, clearly conveying project updates and addressing inquiries.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other disciplines – architectural, mechanical, etc. – to ensure project-wide cohesion.
• Review and approve structural packages, providing clear instructions for production teams.
• Issue construction packages to clients, facilitating smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe).
• 10-20 years of experience in structural engineering within the industrial sector, specifically with small/medium chemical plants and terminals.
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects on a tight budget.
• Extensive experience with equipment foundations and supports, pipe racks, access platforms, and related structural elements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
