Job Title: Structural Engineer

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Salary: $60,000 to $90,000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join an already established dynamic team in Grand Rapids, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design and analysis, with experience in a variety of building types and materials. This role will involve working closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver high-quality projects that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of projects including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
• Develop detailed drawings and specifications using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering design tools.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure structural integrity and compliance with local codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with project teams, including architects, contractors, and other engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, and RISA.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software.
• Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
