Structural Engineer - Selectek, Inc.

Our client is a structural engineering firm and has a new opportunity for a leader with their firm. This individual will act as a Structural Engineer. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to take over projects and run them with minimal instructions

Candidate must have previous experience in the structural design of wood, masonry, steel, and concrete structures. Successful candidates must be able to earn the confidence of our clients through elegant, practical, and timely engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with and directs other project team members.
• Perform quality control reviews of projects prior to issuance.
• Conducts construction observations or special inspections.
• Acts as a mentor to other employees
• Able to prioritize, manage time, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Good and developing technical knowledge of engineering systems, materials, and procedures.
• Good communication skills
• Basic leadership, management, and client relationship skills
• Interact positively with clients on project issues.
• Demonstrated ability to understand the interaction of project components.
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability.
• Completion of work with accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to work independently, or cooperatively and harmoniously with a team

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 5 plus years of experience with Commercial, Institutional, or Healthcare buildings
• PE in Colorado or able to obtain PE in Colorado immediately.
• Strong Leadership skills

Preferred:

• Experience conducting inspections highly preferred.
• Experience performing work on renovations of existing buildings highly preferred.

Pay: DOE- $90k + DOE
