Responsibilities:
- Lead structural design efforts on multi-discipline projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders for seamless project coordination.
- Independently manage projects with a predominant structural scope, demonstrating leadership.
- Direct and oversee the project execution of junior engineers and designers, fostering their professional growth.
- Conduct terrestrial laser scanning site visits, register point clouds, and contribute to structural condition assessments.
- Drive efficient and organized communication, both internally and with clients, maintaining high client satisfaction.
- Actively participate in project and interdepartmental meetings, promoting successful project completion.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes while proactively addressing safety, constructability, and coordination concerns.
- Explore and implement new design software, contributing to the company's technological advancement.
- Perform complex structural analyses and design across various materials, including steel, concrete, and masonry.
- Develop civil designs encompassing paving, grading, and drainage solutions.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of structural codes (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, AWS) in project analyses and designs.
- Proficiently use Revit and AutoCAD for drawing development and possess a working knowledge of basic equipment practices.
- Continuously update and expand personal knowledge of the structural field and client processes.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Structural or related discipline such as Civil).
- 10 years of experience in heavy industrial project engineering.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with the ability to sit for PE within the next 6-9 months.
- $90k-$135k
