Join us and let’s get started. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to join our Chelmsford, MA Team. The role will involve a variety of new and upgrades to existing water treatment facilities, water booster pump stations, and wastewater pumping and treatment facilities. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: + Layout, analyze, and design of structures for various water and wastewater treatment facilities/structures. + Perform reinforced concrete design, including environmental engineering concrete structures in accordance with ACI 350 (2006 or 2020). + Perform designs using industry standard structural design packages such as TEDDS, SAP2000, SAFE, ETABS, and Mathcad. + Perform engineering related calculations to support the design of these structures. + Prepare structural plans, elevations, sections and details. + Support the development of structural specifications. + Verify compliance with applicable US codes and engineering standards/practices. + Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed + Manage and oversee junior level engineers. + Ability to work with a diverse team of engineers located around the world. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Detail-oriented and technical, yet experienced enough to see the big picture. + Experienced, self-directed professional. + Must be a highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skills + Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work. + Ability to meet quality, schedule and budget expectations. + Ability to multi-task and be flexible, along with ability to adapt to project deadlines + Ability to apply passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus + Six years of work experience as a Structural Engineer. + Professional Licensure as an Engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or ability to obtain within six (6) months. + Extensive experience with reinforced concrete design. + Experience with industry standard structural design packages such as TEDDS, SAP2000, SAFE, ETABS, and Mathcad. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience in the water/wastewater industry. + Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus. **Additional Information** All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
