Structural Engineer - Selectek, Inc.

We have an immediate need for our client who is a leader in the utility field for an experienced Structural Engineer. Ideally candidates would have a background designing transmission structures, but a background with Industrial or Commercial structural engineering experience will be considered. The focus of the role will be analyzing steel connections.

Experience with MathCAD and STAAD Pro is highly desirable.
Engineers should have strong knowledge of ANSYS and working knowledge of AISC, ASCE, and ACI codes. The position will be asked to manage multiple projects with various priorities and competing deadlines.

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering
• 5 plus years structural steel design experience for Industrial or Commercial projects
• Proficient with MathCAD and STAAD Pro or similar software
• Working knowledge of ANSYS
• Working knowledge of AISC, ASCE, and ACI Codes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

This is a 3 year Contract role located in Birmingham, AL
Pay Range- $38/hr-$46/hr
