We hire the best and the brightest from across the country – constructing a team of experts in architecture, design, engineering, project management, and business services. A DAY IN THE LIFE: - Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team - Prepare preliminary designs for clients- Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design- Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers- Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction- Produce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy - Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teamsNECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:- BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering - 1-3+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally in commercial construction - Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation design- Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction level structural drawings is required- Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages preferred- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite- Engineer In Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, or ability to obtain, is highly preferredMAKE YOUR MOVE :At OneFourTwo, we believe that every structure has a unique story to tell.
