About the Job
Selectek has an immediate need for a Structural Engineer to fulfill an organizational opening for their client located in the Alpharetta, Ga area. They specialize in chemical, pulp/paper, F&B, water/wastewater, and power. Currently, most of their projects are with chemical plants.

Responsibilities:
- Preliminary and detailed design of heavy industrial structures including concrete foundations, steel structures and buildings.
- estimating project costs
- complex analysis and calculations
- reviewing designs, drawings and specifications
- performing structural assessments/inspections
- supervising and coordinating the activity of other engineers and team members to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets, and to high quality standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in heavy industrial structural design, preferably in a consulting environment
- EIT status or Registered as a Professional Engineer
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
- Knowledge of US steel design codes, familiarity with Canadian codes desirable
- Experience in design of structures with seismic demand.
- Experience in design of shallow and deep foundations for buildings, industrial structures and heavy equipment.
- Experience in the Pulp & Paper industry and Chemical Manufacturing preferred
- RISA 3D experience is a plus
Pay Rate: $60 - $72/hr
