What You’ll Do:
- Work closely with Structural Engineers, other Designers, Project Managers, and clients to translate building solutions into design concepts.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D structural technical drawings and models using AutoCAD and Revit, translating sketches and design concepts into construction documents.
- Apply design standards, industry practices, and drafting techniques to ensure precision and quality.
- Coordinate and implement CAD and BIM workflows to ensure models meet project-specific requirements and standards.
- Support the engineering team by resolving drafting challenges and ensuring structural requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
What You’ll Need:
- An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- 5+ years of experience in structural drafting or design, preferably in building projects.
- Strong understanding of structural design principles, materials (steel, concrete, wood), and construction techniques.
- The ability to produce high-quality document sets.
- Teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
