We are in search of an innovative and driven Permanent Structural Design Lead to join our team. This role is perfect for a professional with a strong background in civil engineering, structural design, and bridge safety inspection. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of structural projects, and ensuring the safety and durability of all our structures. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of structural design projects from conceptualization to completion.
2. Lead a team of engineers and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
3. Develop and implement detailed design plans and specifications using various software.
4. Conduct load rating analysis and bridge safety inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
5. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other team members to determine design requirements and project feasibility.
6. Monitor project progress, address any issues that arise, and ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
7. Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and structural analysis to clients and stakeholders.
8. Stay updated with the latest advancements in structural design and engineering technology.
9. Ensure all design projects adhere to safety regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
3. Minimum of three years of experience in structural design engineering, specifically in the technology industry.
4. Proven experience in bridge design and load ratings.
5. Extensive knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, and procedures.
6. Proficient in using design software and technologies.
7. Excellent leadership and project management skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
11. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
12. Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in structural design.
