As a Structural CAD Technician, you will create electronic design plans using computer software and work closely with Engineers to turn blueprints and technical drawings into 2D/3D computer models.

As a Structural CAD Technician, you will create electronic design plans using computer software and work closely with Engineers to turn blueprints and technical drawings into 2D/3D computer models.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
- Drafting and design work for a variety of projects across multiple disciplines
- Working in structural and architectural detailing and other associated items
- Create/Modify technical drawings of water retention structures, buildings, bridges, vaults, standard details, etc.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure that the drawings are correct and represent the design accurately
- Compiling and maintaining the entire plan set of technical drawings
- Coordination with other technicians on projects that support more than just structural design
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit
- Manage project data files from various sources
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally
- Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
- Be a professional, creative, team-focused individual that works well with others in a team environment
- Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Associates degree or equivalent technical degree
- 3 to 12 years of experience
