This Opportunity:

• Assisting Team Leader in planning field trips
• Assisting Team Leader with performing field inspections of bridges
• Assist in preparation of inspection reports
• Identifying required maintenance and rehabilitation and associated costs

Essential Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge and proficiency with bridge inspection activities including planning of trips, and preparation of bridge inspection reports.
• Previous experience with in-service bridge inspections for various types of bridges.
• Previous experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).
• Demonstrated experience exhibiting high levels of organization and attention to documentation needs.
• Ability to travel out of town for a period of up to several weeks at a time up to three times a year to conduct nationwide bridge inspections for various Federal clients.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License to operate company vehicles during inspection trips.
• Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 40 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least two (2) years of previous experience
• Two (2) week FHWA/NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Certification and strong working knowledge of current National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS).
• Previous experience and/or understanding of FHWA and Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) bridge inspection guidelines and requirements
• Knowledge of items in the Specifications for the National Bridge Inventory (SNBI) and their relationship to National Bridge Inventory (NBI) items.
• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural engineering.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation
• SPRAT certification

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $28 and $36 per hour based on skill set and experience.
