Job Details
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Transportation / Roadway / Bridge Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a hybrid role that requires a blend of in-office and remote work, providing the opportunity for flexibility and work-life balance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and planning of transportation systems, primarily focusing on roadway engineering. This role is an excellent opportunity to work on exciting and challenging transportation projects while contributing to the development of our communities.
Responsibilities:
- Transportation / roadway design and planning for various TxDOT projects.
- Utilize MicroStation and other engineering software to create detailed and accurate design plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design plans meet project goals and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Work closely with TxDOT and other regulatory bodies to secure necessary project approvals and permits.
- Conduct detailed analyses of traffic patterns, environmental impacts, and other factors that may influence transportation design.
- Participate in project meetings and presentations, providing clear and concise information to stakeholders about design plans and project progress.
- Continually update knowledge about emerging trends and technologies in transportation engineering to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Transportation / Bridge Engineer.
- Proficient in transportation design, particularly bridge design.
- Extensive experience with MicroStation or similar engineering software.
- Familiarity with TxDOT standards and procedures.
- Strong understanding of bridge layouts, superstructure design, retaining wall design, materials design experience.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
