We are seeking a talented Structural Analyst to join our client's team in the defense sector. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to munitions and weapons programs by providing expertise in structural analysis.
Position Description: The Structural Analyst will play a crucial role in meeting the structural analysis needs of one or more munitions and weapons programs. Utilizing advanced analysis tools such as ABAQUS, NASTRAN, and HyperWorks, the successful candidate will collaborate with staff analysts and program engineers to drive the analysis process from start to finish. Responsibilities include determining appropriate analysis tools, collecting inputs, performing simulations, and providing detailed results and recommendations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with staff analysts and program engineers to identify program analysis needs and select appropriate analysis tools.
- Lead the structural analysis process, from tool selection to simulation execution, utilizing internal computing assets and external resources as necessary.
- Coordinate with the internal materials group to obtain or measure required material properties.
- Deliver comprehensive results and recommendations to senior analysts and program engineers.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting the analysis process for future reference by the analysis group.
Skills Required: Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field.
- 5-7 years of experience in structural analysis.
- Proficiency with one or more analysis tools such as ABAQUS, NASTRAN, or HyperWorks.
