Stress Engineer
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Hourly rate: $70.00 - $110.00

This position requires an active US Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Job Description:
Uses computational methods and tools in a specialized field (strength of metallic and composite structures, finite element analysis, fatigue and damage tolerance, etc.). Performs pre-dimensioning computations by implementing analytical or digital computation methods and pass judgement on the credibility of the data received and the results obtained. Take part in drawing up the measurement plan applicable to the tests, and analyze the results. Required experience with structural mechanics simulation software including NASTRAN, PATRAN. Must be familiar with using UNIX computer systems. Familiarity and experience with other related tools such as CATIA V5 or Siemens NX desired. Must have knowledge and experience applying skills, tools, and judgment to the field of aircraft primary structure design. Experience analyzing aircraft subsystems and subsystem installations highly desired. Candidate must be capable of interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings.
Required Experience/ Skills:
Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Engineering or related STEM discipline.
9 or more years experience as an aerospace Stress Engineer.
Airframe primary structure layout and sizing.
Hand analysis of aerospace structures.
NASTRAN and PATRAN.
UNIX user experience.
Familiarity with Slim, Vision, and IDAT a plus.
Contractor must hold an Active Secret Clearance.
Must be U.S. Person for purposes of Export Compliance.
