We are seeking a talented and motivated Structural Analyst to join the Dynamic Components Structures group. Dynamic Components Structures is responsible for the structural integrity of the Blades, Rotors, and Transmission/Drive Systems on the next generation of vertical lift aircraft. Typical tasks include performing conceptual/preliminary/detailed structural analysis using classical methods and finite element software, calculate Margin of Safety and conduct fatigue analysis to determine component retirement time of metallic and composite structures, conduct modal/buckling/crack propagation/thermal analysis, collaborate with Design, Materials & Process, and Test Engineers, and create structural substantiation reports to support drawing release and certification efforts.
The successful candidate will have experience in performing structural FEA in ANSYS, have a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving, have a robust understanding of loading and dynamics in mechanical assemblies, be highly competitive and motivated to take ownership of commitments and meet objectives, and be capable of managing complex tasks and drive them to successful outcomes, and possess excellent communication and technical writing skills.
