Elite Sports Performance & Physical Therapy in Stoughton, MA is currently seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our Sports Performance team. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone relatively new to the sports performance/strength and conditioning field who is interested in gaining excellent experience and an opportunity to grow with a strong and established company. Depending on your goals and availability, this position can be either part-time (20-25 hours/week) or full-time with additional benefits (35-40 hours/week). If full-time is desired, additional hours will be available as a Physical Therapy Aide. We offer a fully-equipped sports performance and physical therapy center with a variety of specialized training equipment and large turf surface for speed and agility training, in addition to a full-service commercial fitness center.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide high quality, personalized strength, conditioning, agility and speed training and coaching to a variety of clients with a particular focus on athletes ranging from ages 10-22 (middle school, high school and college).
- Assess clients using the Functional Movement Screen and other assessment tools.
- Perform baseline athlete assessment testing and re-testing to track client progress.
- Design sport-specific, individualized and team training programs for a variety of athletes.
- Assist in marketing and selling our sports performance services at our facility, community outreach events, and through social media marketing efforts.
- Assist in the design of marketing flyers, promotional materials, and social media posts.
- Manage incoming leads for sports performance programs and provide fast response to all inquiries regarding sports performance programs.
- Serve as a professional, positive, knowledgeable, and inspiring role model to our clients.
- Work cooperatively as a key member of a dynamic team of trainers and physical therapists.
- If full-time, provide additional support to the Physical Therapy team as a PT Aide when sports performance training is not offered (i.e. mornings and mid-day during the academic school year).
Qualifications:
- Degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Physical Education, Health Sciences, or Athletic Training and/or a current accredited certification as a personal trainer or strength & conditioning specialist.
- Current CSCS certification is preferred but not required. If not currently held, the ideal candidate is interested in obtaining this certification in the near future.
- Current CPR/first aid certification required.
- Experience with TeamBuildr and ClubReady software is a plus but not required.
- Previous training/coaching and program design experience or relevant internship experience and a passion for working with athletes and the field of sports performance training.
- Reliability, dependability and a high level of professionalism and accountability.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to help create and sustain a fun, supportive, and positive community for our athletes.
Hours: Must be available to work afternoons/evenings (i.e. 3 PM - 8 PM) and weekends (Saturday mornings) during the academic year. (Additional morning training hours may be available during the summer). If interested in full-time, must be available to work occasional mornings or mid-day as PT Aide to augment training hours.
