Job Description:
The Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Corporate Affairs team is looking for an experienced individual to support executive team members, office operations, and special projects. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, writing and editing skills, professional judgment, flexibility, and the ability to handle multiple projects in an extremely fast-paced environment.
The HPE Corporate Affairs team is made up of more than 150 professionals in the areas of government relations, sustainability and social impact, aviation, and brand security. This position will provide administrative and project support to several members of the leadership team as well as operational support for the Washington, DC, office.
The position will include various administrative and clerical tasks, communications, project planning and implementation, and research. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Providing project management support of special projects from across the Corporate Affairs team to execute against both long- and short-term objectives
- Enabling the team's leadership to track progress against key objectives and supporting internal reporting on workstreams and accomplishments
- Supporting multiple executives with travel and expenses and scheduling
- Writing and editing of briefings and preparation of creative presentations in compliance with brand standards
- Maintaining office condition and arrange necessary repairs in coordination with property management; including coordination with IT department on all office equipment
- Planning and execution of in-house or off-site activities, like events, dinners, staff lunches
- Providing general guest support to visitors
- Providing basic IT troubleshooting for the site
- Address employee queries regarding office management issues (e.g. stationery, shipping)
- Developing, reviewing, and improving administrative systems, policies, and procedures
- Assisting in the onboarding process for new hires
- Performing assignments that are complex in nature and require considerable judgment and initiative to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions
- Executing other special projects as opportunities arise
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 1+ years of administrative or equivalent experience
- Interest in government relations or ESG is strongly preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Skilled in technical troubleshooting, IT Infrastructure and performance
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, receive direction and feedback, and adjust as needed
- Willingness to take responsibility for assigned work, seeing it through to completion
- Ability to manage time effectively, juggling multiple tasks, occasionally under time pressure

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S. -based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $47,500.00 - $101,000.00
