Education:
• Bachelor’s (BSc) / Master’s (MSc) in business or related discipline
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years in Procurement and 2 years in Flexible Packaging Sourcing
• Experience of working with multi-cultural teams in a highly collaborative environment
• Experience within a worldwide procurement environment, retail / FMCG experience preferred

The client is looking for a candidate who is responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives related to Flexible Packaging for the region. The role will be for an initial term of 9 months starting in January 2025 and will require 2 days per week in the office (Newark) to meet with the team and key stakeholders.
Position Summary:
• Be responsible for the category performance of flexible packaging ($215m) and implementing the strategy focusing on Value Creation, Supply Security and Sustainability. This will need to be aligned with other functions including R&D, Quality, Operations and Finance
• Identify and deliver savings, efficiency, growth and sustainability opportunities
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver transformational projects, including incorporating recycled content into our packaging formats
• Work closely with suppliers to maintain, and where appropriate, improve relationships
• Work as part of a global team to leverage further opportunities
• Be the category expert in terms of market trends, conduct price risk management, forecast pricing for annual budgeting cycle
Responsibilities:
• This is a highly visible position that will drive value across cost, supply security, and sustainability
• Provide rigorous analysis of spend data and industry dynamics to prioritize and launch sourcing initiatives
• Prepare and present business cases and should-cost models
• Identify and pursue Client process re-engineering, value engineering, and demand management opportunities to increase efficiencies
• Manage the planning and launch of RFIs, RFPs and eAuctions (to include eSourcing technology tools)
• Perform complex data analysis and build financial models
• Develop and execute supplier negotiation strategies
• Manage supplier selection process and provide data to ensure informed selection decisions
• Identify, scope, and execute material simplification and supply chain efficiency projects
• Develop implementation and transition plans and supports change management initiatives
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and develops business cases for new spend management opportunities
• Develop and execute implementation plans to ensure sourcing benefits are fully realized by working closely with cross-functional colleagues
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
