- We have an excellent opportunity for a Strategic Sales Manager in our Plains, PA Storefront location
The Strategic Sales Manager is a critical position within Clopay National Accounts (Storefronts). This individuals strengths should be building relationships with prospective customers, maintaining ties with existing ones, finding opportunities for cross-sales and closing deals. As a member of our National Account Sales Team, you will work hand in hand with our experienced Sales Operations / Project Mangers to assist with key account projects throughout the sales project path. You will need to work cross-functionally with all internal teams to deliver and grow revenue gargets.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Increase business unit's revenue through new national account acquisition
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
- Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
- Effectively communicating CSSI/Clopay National Account market proposition; accurately interpreting clients' needs; proposing suitable solutions
- Managing the sales process - from lead generation and initial prospect contact through to successful closing and follow up sales activities
- Identifying new sales growth solutions, services or partnerships which complements CSSI/Clopay National Accounts offerings
- Preparing high quality presentations and proposals for submission to clients in support of new business pitches and opportunities
- Documentation of day to day growth through an established CRM system
- Work closely with the internal operations teams to optimize the sales process from first customer contact and to ensure smooth delivery of client services are in line with customer expectations
- Strategic Sales Manager positions may be home based with the requirement to travel over 25% of the time to meet client's needs and regular visits to the Company's headquarters based in Plains, PA
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree +
- Minimum of 3-5 years customer experience of outside direct sales or national account sales management experience
- Strong background in outside sales, particularly in construction or mechanical industries.
- Experience working with business-to-business sales, focusing on both new construction and retrofit projects.
- Experience with commercial accounts, as well as selling to both end-users and/thru contractors is key.
- Result-driven and self-motivated individual
- Ability to discuss project opportunities with clients, architect, and contractors.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings & construction documents
- Strong understanding of various sales strategies, funnel building and account management
- Exceptional relationship building, customer service and negotiation skills
NOTE: This position is fully remote, with up to 50% travel requirements
