Strategic Programs Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY:
The Strategic Programs Coordinator (SPC), will lead the development and implementation of an integrative and holistic system of supportive services and activities for parents and providers served by Crystal Stairs. The SPC will coordinate safe spaces for social and emotional support, professional development opportunities, and equitable access to resources for parents and providers. The SPC will ensure the facilitation of core program activities, including, but not limited to, coaching and support, skills-building opportunities, and engagement activities to build social connections.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work cross-functionally in the development, coordination, and implementation of parent and provider support activities across all agency program areas.
- Plan and implement strategies that align with the agency's mission and strategic plan.
- Work in collaboration with designated agency staff to maintain current and relevant resources and information for families on the agency website and other appropriate media.
- Promote strategies focused on parent resiliency and self-sufficiency to strengthen family well-being.
- Work with the senior leadership to ensure contract and budget compliance, as well as ensuring reporting requirements are met.
- Represent the agency at meetings of professional organizations and community partners to inform, promote, and leverage services for families.
- Keep abreast of current trends within the field of human services, family supportive services, early care and education, and related fields, as well as the legislative issues and regulatory changes affecting families.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in early childhood education, social work, special education, or related fields (i.e., Psychology, Human Development) from an accredited university. Relevant work experience in the above areas may be substituted for college-level education.
- Minimum of two to three years of related experience in human services, early childhood education, child development, or related fields. Experience planning, implementing, and coordinating major projects and activities.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and customer relations skills.
- Must be flexible and able to manage multiple jobs simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Must have the ability to implement and assess program objectives and outcomes.
- Must relate effectively with diverse groups and have cultural sensitivity.
- Strong expertise in PC software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid California driver's license, have use of a motor vehicle, and provide evidence of automobile liability insurance. This position requires you to commute approximately 40-50% of the time.
