Job Details: (Local travel to clients in Boston, Cambridge, metro north and Southern NH)
Join our Client CIO team as a Trusted Advisor. With an understanding of business drivers and regulatory controls within specific industry verticals, you will work alongside an Account Manager overseeing a group of clients. You must have the ability to sit down with C-level executives and business owners and act in the capacity of a CIO to outline mid and long-term plans, adhere to regulations, clearly explain trends, and help make sound decisions that fit with customer needs, while identifying how NENS can help the client achieve their goals. You will be responsible for consulting, building strategic client plans and budgets, project planning, and providing support for high-level technical escalations / technical needs.
Compensation:
Base salary minimum of 120K+ (commensurate with experience), 15% profit sharing and bonus plan paid quarterly, mileage reimbursement and cell/data reimbursement.

What You'll Do:
- Create and maintain strategic technical plans for all your clients, with the ability to architect technology environments from the ground up
- Maintain deep relationships with ownership, executives, and POCs within your client base
- Collaborate with Account Managers, ensuring team awareness and participation in all strategic client planning and follow-up activities
- Support our customers with exceptional Customer Service
- Interacting with clients to identify opportunities of growth and areas of improvement while suggesting technical solutions that meet their business needs
- Write project plans, help the Project Manager with Project Management and be an active member of the on-boarding team
- Participate in after-hours projects, with possibility of after-hours escalation
- Learn and understand regulations for the industry verticals of your clients, including the impacts those regulations have on policies regarding the access, use and maintenance of technology
- Stay on top of all industry trends in your industry vertical plus other NENS industries
- Set an example of leadership and advocacy for the NENS standards
- Provide engineering mentorship & training initiatives per request of the VP, Service Delivery
- Participate in Teambuilding, Knowledge and Experience sharing and regular feedback and process improvement initiatives
- Update internal and client documentation as needed
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of client environments
- Assist with IT budget forecasting and financial cost analysis
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience
- 7-10+ years' experience in a strategic IT consulting role
- 5+ years' interactive customer support/service
- Experience in the Life Sciences industry is a plus
- You are a team player that can live by the NENS core values

Technical Knowledge & Experience: Demonstrated experience and exceptional skills architecting multiple areas of technology including:
- Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation technologies
- Networking including, firewalls, switching, load balancing
- Backup and Recovery technologies
- Virtualization technology, VMware, Citrix
- Familiar with Cloud Technologies Azure, AWS
- Storage technologies, SAN, NAS
- Microsoft O365 platform and app suite
- Security Technology - Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-on (SSO) - preferably Duo and Okta
- Understanding of Security and Compliance practices like NIST, HIPPA, PCI, ITIL, Mass 201 CMR 17, etc.
- Environment Analysis, Assessment writing, Client Presentation and Follow up
- Security Policy design and implementation
- Certifications in one or more of the above technologies a plus
