Dedicated to serving those who defend the US and warfighters, Nisga’a MOSTT offers Military Operations support and Specialized Tactical Training (MOSTT). Nisga’a MOSTT’s services include aviation and military training, cybersecurity, intelligence gathering and analysis, and simulation and exercise support, as well as aviation flight logistics support and unmanned aerial vehicle support.
Summary:
TheStrategic Operations Advisor will provide and apply Special Operations expertise for assisting in developing plans,orders and CONOPs and aligning Special Operations support to the USCENTCOM mission and Commander’s priorities.
Responsibilities:Essential Job Functions:
- Provide and apply expertise to planning, plans coordination, and synchronizing effortssupporting the full spectrum of special operations in joint, multinational, and interagencycontexts.
- Utilize technical expertise, experience, and knowledge of all Special OperationsForces core missions to advise the USCENTCOM Commander on the employment andutilization of special operations forces. Utilize cognitive problem-solving skills to overcomecomplex operational and strategic challenges. Analyze and ensure synchronization of specialoperations planning and execution efforts across DoD elements, IA, Allied, Coalition and multinationalspecial operations activities within the USCENTCOM AOR.
- Provide Special Operations expertise to current operations and support to otherspecial activities requirements.
- Provide coordination of FOIAs and MDRs according to legal standards set by thevarious laws governing the processing, declassification, and release of information fromdesignated USCENTCOM files. This includes thorough searching of files controlled by CCJ5 forinformation relevant for government personnel to determine declassification and ability todisseminate information based on a detailed knowledge of existing legal statutes, currentUSCENTCOM information strategies and advising CCJ5 on the FOIA and MDR Program inaccordance with CENTCOM directives to ensure plans and orders are properly safeguarded.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong ability to conceptualize, design, and drive long-term strategic initiatives.Proficiency in aligning policy recommendations with organizational goals and market trends.
- Expertise in analyzing, interpreting, and advising on complex policy issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A graduate of the SpecialOperations Planning Course (SOPC), (2) has a minimum of 10 years of experience working inthe Special Operations Community, and (3) has a minimum of 3 years of experience at a Jointor Combined Command Headquarters.
- Shall be prepared and eligible to travel, to include OCONUS, CONUS,and must be able to obtain an official passport.
