Planet Interactive is looking for a Strategic Media Planning Specialist to join our well known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract. This role will work 40 hours per week and does require a hybrid schedule working Tuesday-Thursday onsite in their office in Culver City, CA.
In this role, the Strategic Media Planning Specialist will collaborate closely with marketing leads, media teams, creative strategists, analytics, and data personnel to build data-informed recommendations and campaigns focused on their payment services.
Strategic Media Planning Specialist Responsibilities:
- Develop integrated media strategies within Services.
- Manage workflow between external and internal media teams.
- Manage the implementation of each media strategy.
- Analyze the performance of media channels and provide insights to ensure key partners understand plans, optimizations and results.
- Develop sophisticated external marketing strategies.
- Be a SME and strategic thought leader for the business stakeholders and provide direction on how they allocate budgets, effectively leverage media for their needs, and provide insight on branding and messaging within creative.
- Communicate challenges, solutions, recommendations, and perspectives for strategic media plans in a constantly evolving environment.
- Track record of measuring impact through different testing and measurement solutions.
- Share results and future recommendations in a digestible way through recaps and presentations.
- Be a self-starter who can work autonomously with agility, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects at one time.
Strategic Media Planning Specialist Qualifications:
- 5+ years media planning and strategy experience, agency experience a plus!
- BS/BA degree required
- Expertise in cross channel tactical planning for performance and brand KPIs.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage data and insights to build audience profiles, create clear communication plans, and develop channel-level marketing strategies that tie back to business objectives
- Experience with traditional media channels (OOH, TV), digital advertising, and social media platforms.
- Proficiency working within syndicated research sources (MRI/ Simmons, comScore, etc.) and social listening tools.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of financial services marketing and/or acquisition marketing strategies a plus.
